A BRIEF CASE STUDY

Capital Reman ExchangeI will write about this more in a complete article in the days to come, but below is a brief description of our work with Capital Reman Exchange, a remanufacturer of large diesel engines used primarily in long haul trucks.

Capital Reman was caught off guard, as many were, by the changes to Google’s search algorithm at the end of 2023. Website visits plummeted. Business dropped and advertising (AdWords) wasn’t as effective. After examining the website and analytics, we had a lot of changes to make to get the website back to where it had been. There was also a lot of new content that needed to be generated.

First, their website was older. We had built it eight years earlier. So, we made a lot of technical changes to the underlying code to bring it in line with expectations. Next, we sat down to examine keywords, rankings and content that would be effective at driving visits to the site. Over the past ten months we have created many landing pages and articles using AI to spark creativity and do some of the heavy lifting of writing content and looking up specifics about various engines, parts and processes. Those articles and landing pages have made a massive difference. The company is back to previous levels and has now climbed above where they were in search results previously.

We also examined competitor sites using AI to create a roadmap of content that will have an impact on search results moving forward. All of this was done at a relatively small price, especially considering how much has been gained. The key thing is that the business is humming again and the marketing efforts are paying dividends.
